What could be better than dining in a Little Blue Box?
That's right, literally nothing.
At the Blue Box Cafe, located at 727 5th Ave 4th floor, New York, NY 10022, you're able to

delight your tastebuds while basking in the iconic Robin Egg Blue atmosphere. I had a lovely time. I went with my mom, grandma, and cousin to celebrate our birthdays and graduations...it was a pretty big summer for both of us needless to say.
My grandmother and mother both had the tea option, which were three wonderful tiered trays of some delicious scones, finger sandwiches, and small cakes that satisfied literally any craving you could have. My cousin got the buttermilk waffle, and I ordered the coddled eggs with the sausage, polenta, and asparagus.

The small cakes at the top were not only aesthetically pleasing, they were actually pretty good! The robin eggs were marshmallows, which tasted like a Mallomar, and the nest, which was edible, was made from a simple pastry dough that covered a delectable chocolate center. Naturally, I went all in a took a humongous bite.
The Blue Box cakes were a smooth almond cake, which my mother loved. I am not a fan of almonds, but I'll take her word for it! They also had mini key lime pies, which are the little white squares you see in the picture.
*Pro Tip! A key lime pie is never green, they are a super pale yellow color. If you're out and they give you a green Key Lime Pie, it's not authentic!*

The plate also came with a Coconut Brownie, and as someone who despises coconuts, this was actually pretty decent! The coconut compliments the chocolate wonderfully. There were also mini lemon meringue pies, which were the cutest petit fours I had ever seen! I'm definitely going to suggest to my grandma we make her pie look like these. Also, in the picture, you may notice a silver bar; that's actually chocolate! It was so rich and sweet, it was worth the silver glitter I had all over my mouth once I finished it.
Don't worry, I wouldn't forget my second favorite part of any meal: the carbs! The croissants were good, especially with the Nutella the provided (Good Choice Tiffany's). THE SCONES THOUGH! I am totally a scones kind of girl, and the ones they provided were amazing! I think they change every time, but I know mine were a chipotle-cheddar type of scone. The other one had pineapple, so I passed, but I assure you, I'm definitely finding a recipe as soon as I can.
I decided to go with tea since I got to have MY OWN TEAPOT *insert heart eye emojis*. They

featured their Color Block collection, which is a super sleek and modern look that I certainly will not mind incorporating into my new home when I move out one day. I chose the Tiffany tea, which was a blend of Chinese and Ceylon black teas along with soft hints of lavender, lychee, rosebuds, and vanilla. They sell the tea when you buy a set, and you can bet your bottom that I'll be purchasing one of those bad boys soon.
I loved my experience at the Blue Box Cafe and would love to go again. The decor was so pretty, and the service is excellent. The food is delicious, and I hope you go and try it soon! It is a bit on the pricy side, but it's totally worth it for the experience. If you've gone already, let me know your experience! I'd love to hear about it!
